Our Firm is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Legal Assistant to join our team.


Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Residential real estate transactions – drafting and full process of legal and banking documents in the areas of purchase, sale, and refinance from opening to closing file,

  • Provide support for commercial real estate transactions – drafting and full process of legal and banking documents in the areas of purchase, sale, and refinance from opening to closing file,

  • Review purchase and sale contracts, builders contracts, financing documents, leases and Land Titles documents,

  • Provide support for acquisitions and sales of commercial properties, condominium developments, financing transactions and land development,

  • Carry out title and off-title due diligence searches on commercial properties and review reports,

  • Provide support for commercial lending transactions,

  • Preparing contracts and closing documents,

  • Prepare legal documents, letters, memos and other documents as required according to general precedents and instructions from supervising lawyers,

  • Processing invoices and follow up with collection.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Legal Assistant certification from an accredited institution,

  • 6-8 years of experience with residential and commercial real estate transactions,

  • Bank and private lending background,

  • Experience in wills and estates and corporate is an asset,

  • CosmoLex experience is an asset,

  • PPR certification is an asset,

  • Experience with Unity is an asset,

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment,

  • Excellent communication skills, interacting with clients by telephone and in person,

  • Full knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel and Outlook,

  • Word Perfect experience is an asset,

  • Excellent written communication skills.


Salary commensurate with experience.
