Tim Platnich practices business law, corporate and commercial litigation, and municipal and development law. He acts as legal counsel in such matters as business structures, corporations, partnerships, joint ventures, and proprietorships. This includes contractual disputes, shareholder/partner disputes, lease negotiations (drafting and enforcement), and the purchase and sale of businesses. Tim has extensive experience with the protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights including trade secrets, confidential information, trademarks, and copyright. Tim advises and represents clients with respect to commercial disputes including disputes about real estate transactions, residential and commercial construction, and builders' liens.
Tim has appeared before all levels of Court in Alberta and before the Federal and Tax Courts of Canada. He has also appeared before and acted for various municipal, provincial, and federal tribunals.
