Arthur Wenngatz graduated
from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Arts (Special) with distinction in 1980.
He received his Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Alberta in 1983 and
was called to the Bar in 1984 after his Articles of Clerkship with McLaws & Company.
He left the firm of McLaws & Company in 1984 along with W. Patrick Sullivan and
Alexander G. Park, Q.C., and practiced as a partner with the law firm of Park Sullivan
Wenngatz and then Park Sullivan Wenngatz Bourassa & Owens, until March of 1999.
He commenced practice with Major Caron (now Caron & Partners LLP) in March of 1999, subsequent to the appointments of
W. Patrick Sullivan, J. (1996) and A.G. Park, Q.C., J. (1999) as Justices
of the Court of Queen's Bench of Alberta. Mr. Wenngatz became a
Partner at Caron & Partners LLP
on January 1, 2000. |

Practice |

Mr. Wenngatz's practice
is principally in the areas of commercial law, and all areas of litigation including
commercial, matrimonial and motor vehicle litigation. He has
appeared extensively and conducted both jury, and judge alone trials, and appeals before
all levels of Court, in the Province of Alberta on a wide variety of matters. He has
acted
as well for clients on major criminal matters, including jury trials on drug
conspiracy charges. He has also been retained as counsel for lawyers in discipline
proceedings before the Law Society of Alberta and other professionals before their
professional associations. He principally acts for individuals and owner operated
enterprises. He has been
extensively involved in real estate development in the Provinces of Alberta, British
Columbia and Manitoba.
Mr. Wenngatz is fluent in the German
language, and provides legal counsel to German speaking clients both locally and abroad.

of the Canadian Bar Association and the Calgary Bar Association. He is an
active member of the Bearspaw Golf and Country Club. |
