Jean Munn has an Arts degree in History (Latin
American) and graduated in Law from the University
of Calgary (1988). She completed her Articles of
Clerkship with the Alberta Court of Appeal (Madam
Justice Conrad) and with Mr. Charles Hotzel. Ms.
Munn was called to the Alberta Bar in 1989.
Jean Munn became a Partner with Caron & Partners LLP
in January 2003. |

Professional
Practice |

Ms. Munn's preferred areas of practice are
immigration, labour and employment law. Ms. Munn is
an experienced arbitrator and a member of the
Alberta Arbitration and Mediation Society. She is
fluent in the Spanish language and provides a broad
range of legal services and referrals for her
Spanish speaking clientele. Ms. Munn also acts as
counsel for a number of non-profit agencies, boards
and community organizations.

Ms. Munn
volunteers with numerous community organizations including
Calgary Legal Guidance, and the Calgary Immigrant Women's
Association. She presently is participating in the education of
immigration consultants at Bow Valley College. She is the past
co-chairperson of the Canadian Bar Association (Alberta)
Immigration Section.
She has co-authored, with Peter W. Wong, Q.C., "Canadian
Encyclopedic Digest, Carswell, Citizenship and Immigration Law"
and has also authored "Calgary Legal Guidance, Legal Advice
Manual - A Guide to Immigration Law for Non-Immigration Lawyers
1999."
