Paul Caron graduated in
Arts and Law from the University of Saskatchewan(1966). He completed his Articles of
Clerkship under Mr. William Major Q.C., and was called to the Alberta Bar in 1967.
He was appointed Queen's Counsel by the Alberta Provincial Government in 1998. |

Mr. Caron is a partner
at Caron & Partners, his practice
emphasizes Real Estate Law and Commercial Lending. His civil litigation practice is now restricted to issues
involving Real Estate Law including foreclosures. He has represented clients before all
courts in Alberta and the Supreme Court of Canada. His clients include private citizens,
Chartered Banks, Trust Companies, large Development Corporations, Life Insurance
Companies, Mortgage Corporations, Municipal Authorities and Boards, together with a number
of private mortgage lenders, real estate firms, builders and mortgage brokers. His
practice deals with all aspects of residential and commercial Real Estate acquisitions,
sales, financing and the enforcement of secured obligations.

Associations

Mr. Caron is a member of
the Canadian, Alberta and Calgary Bar Associations and has been a lecturer at seminars for
the Alberta Bar and Real Estate Agents licensing courses. He is a past President of the
Real Property Subsection (South Alberta) of the Canadian Bar Association and
is past President of the National Real Property Section, Canadian
Bar Association. Mr.
Caron was a committee member of the National Real Estate Project of
the Canadian Bar Association. He is past President of the Calgary Buffalo
Progressive Conservative Association, and is the recipient of the
"Leader's Service Award" granted by the Progressive
Conservative Association of Alberta. He has been appointed by the Law Society of Alberta
as a mentor for the Real Property Division of the Society's Mentor Program.
Mr. Caron is a former member of the Professional Responsibility
Committee of the Law Society Of Alberta. He is past
President of the Foreclosure Subsection (South Alberta) of the Canadian Bar Association and
chaired the Rules Committee set up to establish new foreclosure rules in the Province of Alberta.
He also was a member of the Advisory Committee for the Legal Archives Society of Alberta. He is
also an
active member of the Glencoe Club, former VicePresident of L'Arche Association of
Calgary, a member and past President of the Calysmen Club, past President of the Scarboro
Community Association and a former Director of the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. |
